Around the house and studio, ordinary things or articles with personal associations such as my tango dancing shoes can be the spark that starts a painting. Using oil paints in many layers of thin glazes to give luminosity contrasted with thicker paint, I aim to create a distillation of a moment observed, remembered or imagined.
