I am a regular visitor to Casole d'Elsa, a small Tuscan hilltop village. What fascinates me about painting in this location is the high viewpoint - the vast landscape can be seen in every direction. I paint my response to the light and heat using patterns of fields, farms, vineyards and olive groves and the characteristic cypress trees.
