I enjoy creating playful compositions from everyday observation of objects and places. Table top vistas, memories of places and people, all flow into my mind as I paint. Vessels, jugs and pots of flowers, windows and views from inside to outside are favourite and recurrent themes.

Bird forms, for me a symbol of the creative spirit, also inhabit my imagination and my work. Strong design and expressive colour, simplification and decorative reorganisation of the facts are all used to explore these subjects. Through my paintings I hope to share with you what I see and also how my imagination is sparked by my observations.
