COOL CUPID
Oil on Canvas, 92cm by 61cm, £1500
This little cupid was in a home I visited in Nice some years ago. When I started my Inside/Outside theme I looked back over sketches done then and remembered the heat of the south of France and how good it was to rest indoors at certain times of the day.

THE GIFT OF DAISIES & TANGO
Oil on Canvas, 61cm by 41cm, £550
Daisies are such simple flowers and I love them. Heavy rain battered them bit so a brought a few into the house. Suddenly there was sunshine and a shadow shape reminded me of dancing Argentine tango, which stopped suddenly durning lockdown, but gladly is a happening again.

TUSCAN KITCHEN
Oil on Canvas, 30cm by 30cm, £250
I have been in quite a few Tuscan kitchens and they all usually have their shutters closed during the heat of the day. But that would not do for this little memory journey in paint.

MIDNIGHT PEARS
Oil on Canvas, 34cm by 34cm, SOLD
I am not an insomniac, thankfully, but I do like to gaze at the moon from my window if I am up during the night. Familiar objects and three ripe pears caught my eye, so next day they were created in paint.

WHAT DO YOU THINK
Oil on Canvas, 81cm by 43cm, £550
These ‘wally dugs’ as they are known in Scotland, were a hand me down from an elderly relative. Once fashionable, but now not, I like them, they sit on my high studio shelf. They remind me of her and her love of chatting to everyone. These two always look like they are having a conversation. The view below is where I where I wish my studio was located!

FRESH PICKED
Oil on Canvas, 78cm by 31cm, £550
After the rain, shadows from strong sunshine caught my eye and became just as important as the flowers in this painting.
